Rules
Yes, everyone has them. Even us.1. Be polite: This one isn't difficult. We're all taught from a young age to respect others as we would be respected. Its no different here even if this is cyberspace.
2. Avoid Out of Character drama: This is also not really difficult to understand but can sometimes be difficult to follow. If your characters are having serious issues with one another that's all well and good. Try to keep that drama in character and do not become snide with one another out of character. Too often excellent stories are ruined because of folks breaking this rule.
3. Be polite: Refer to rule number one.
4. Keep Out of Character Out of Character: If someone confides something about their character or their plots out of character to you, keep it that way. Their character did not just confess their deepest darkest secrets to your character. Accusations of someone using out of character information in character are very serious and will be treated as such.
5. Be polite: It's important. Remember it.
6. Keep In Character In Character: Falls back in with rule number two. Character issues are not personal. Please don't take them personal.
7. Be polite: Has the point been made yet?
8. Abide by Story Teller decisions: If you have brought an issue to an Assistant Story Teller you do have the option of bringing the issue up with the Master Story Teller. However, keep in mind that odds are pretty good that the AST and the MST have probably already talked and have agreed on the decision. Once the MST has made a ruling that decision is final.
9. Be polite: This one is really the Golden Rule.
10 Have fun: Most of all we are all here to have fun and create a story. If you aren't having fun odds are that something isn't clicking just right. Talk to the MST or one of the AST's maybe something can be done to remedy the situation.
11. Be polite: I really really cannot stress this enough.
12. Do not argue: I'm all for a little discussion if you do not agree with a final ruling. I may well change my mind because I think in the end you are correct. However if you come to me with a snide attitude about it odds are good that I will give you a warning.
The Warning System
First offense: A "verbal" warning. To be sent via instant message. Not so formal and a general heads up that you are treading on thin ice.
Second offense: If the same actions are repeated an email detailing what the issue is. This is the last warning that will be given.
Third offense: Suspension from the story line for one week to allow things to cool off.
Fourth and final offense: Removal from the story line all together.
If you have read this far. Please write "Fire and Blood" in the starting line of your application.
